CG Power & Industrial Solutions Ltd (CG) will invest Rs 7.12 billion to build a greenfield power transformer plant, approved by its board on January 28, 2025.
The facility, slated for commissioning by March 2028, will produce 45,000 MVA annually, boosting CG’s total power transformer capacity to 85,000 MVA.
The new plant will manufacture 220kV–765kV transformers for domestic and international markets. Land acquisition is underway.
