CG Power launches AMX series AC drives for industrial applications
CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. has launched its AMX Series Drives, a range of general-purpose AC drives designed to control induction and permanent magnet motors across industrial applications.
The new range expands CG’s portfolio of industrial drives and automation solutions. The company said the AMX series is designed to provide precise speed regulation, fast torque response and reliable performance, while supporting industrial efficiency, productivity and operational reliability.
The drives combine V/F and field-oriented control (FOC) with a compact, space-optimised design. The series is designed to provide high starting torque, precise speed regulation and improved low-frequency performance under demanding operating conditions.
The AMX series is available in power ratings from 1.5 kW to 55 kW, with 3-phase, 230 V to 480 V configurations. The drives are manufactured at CG’s facility in Mandideep, Madhya Pradesh.
Key features
The AMX series offers high starting torque characteristics for heavy-load startup conditions. Its conformally coated design is rated for operation at a 50°C ambient temperature without deration and is designed for hot, humid and harsh operating environments.
The drives include built-in load monitoring, timers, counters and virtual I/Os, allowing users to configure in-built logic without additional external hardware. A graphical user interface with an integrated oscilloscope enables monitoring and waveform analysis.
The series also features an in-built brake chopper for drives up to 45 kW and integrated vector braking for quick, controlled stops. An energy-saving function can automatically pause the motor when operation is not required.

The AMX Series Drives up to 18.5 kW are now available through CG’s sales and channel network. Products up to 55 kW will be rolled out in the coming quarters.
