CESC Limited has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Bhojraj Renewables Energy Private Limited on April 28, 2025. Bhojraj Renewables is a subsidiary of Purvah Green Power Private Limited, which is wholly owned by CESC.

The agreement covers the development of 300 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects across India. The project includes 300 MW wind and 150 MW solar capacity, designed to supply hybrid power to CESC on a build, own, and operate (BOO) basis.

Purvah Green had won the bid in January 2025, quoting a tariff of Rs 3.81 per kWh. The bids were invited by CESC in November 2024 for 150 MW hybrid capacity, with a greenshoe option of an additional 150 MW.

The scope of the project includes land identification, installation, connectivity, and necessary approvals for interconnection with the ISTS network. Project completion is expected within 20 months from the date of signing the PPA.
