Infrastructure EPC company Ceigall India Ltd has announced its entry into the renewable energy sector after receiving two Letters of Intent (LOIs) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) for 337 megawatts (MW) of solar capacity.

The projects fall under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 scheme and will involve setting up grid-connected solar power plants at multiple locations in Maharashtra. The capacity was awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding process conducted by MSEDCL.

Ceigall India has so far focused on infrastructure development, with expertise in elevated roads, bridges, tunnels, highways, flyovers, and runways. Its business portfolio includes both engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects and hybrid annuity model (HAM) projects. The company views renewable energy expansion as part of strengthening its presence in high-growth sectors.

Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ceigall India Ltd, said the company’s participation in solar projects reflects its strategic diversification into renewable energy. He added that Ceigall plans to expand its role in India’s energy transition.
