Ceigall signs PPA for 220 MW solar and BESS project in Madhya Pradesh

Ceigall India Limited has executed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) through its wholly owned subsidiary, Ceigall Morena Solar BESS Park Limited, with Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited for a 220 MW solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Morena Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh.

The tariff-based project is valued at approximately Rs 1,700 crore, including GST. It combines solar power generation with battery energy storage and has a discovered tariff of Rs 2.70 per kWh. The PPA was executed on June 29, 2026.

The project has an 18-month construction period, followed by an operational period of 25 years. According to the company, the project expands its presence in the renewable energy sector alongside its existing infrastructure business.

Commenting on the development, Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman & Managing Director of Ceigall India Limited, said the project reflects the company’s growing capabilities beyond conventional infrastructure and strengthens its presence in the clean energy ecosystem. He added that the company expects its diversified expertise and leadership capabilities to support India’s sustainable infrastructure and clean energy growth.

The company also announced that it has strengthened its governance framework through the appointment of two professionals to its Board of Directors as it expands into new infrastructure segments.
