BrightNight has announced the commissioning of the first phase of Optima Maharashtra, a 115 MW hybrid renewable power project located in Dharashiv, southern Maharashtra. The project is one of the first co-located wind-solar projects in the state, marking the company’s entry into the Indian power grid.
Optima Maharashtra integrates advanced wind and solar technologies powered by BrightNight’s proprietary AI-enabled PowerAlpha platform, maximizing energy output with minimal environmental impact. The project will contribute to Maharashtra’s target of 40% renewable energy by 2030.
Additionally, BrightNight is preparing large-scale hybrid projects in Rajasthan, combining wind, solar, and battery storage systems, while expanding its footprint across several Indian states, including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh.
To support its GW-scale renewable power portfolio in India, Philippines-based ACEN Corporation, part of the Ayala Group, committed USD 250 million investment into BrightNight India in 2023.
