Boralex Inc. and Saint-Gobain have signed a 20-year renewable power purchase agreement (PPA) in France, covering three power plants that will supply renewable electricity to Saint-Gobain’s industrial sites.
The agreement includes two solar parks and one wind farm, set to commence operations between Q1 2026 and Q1 2027.
These facilities are expected to generate approximately 110 GWh annually, meeting the electricity needs of over 50,000 residents and fulfilling around 10 per cent of Saint-Gobain’s power requirements in France.
Both companies continue expanding in Europe, with Saint-Gobain previously signing a 5-year renewable energy PPA in Romania with OMV PETROM SA and Boralex Inc. in May 2024.
