Blupine Energy’s special purpose vehicle, Solarcraft Power India 17 Private Limited, signed a power purchase agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) on April 17, 2025.

The agreement is valid for 25 years and covers the development of a 150 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connected solar power project with energy storage in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

The project is part of SECI’s Tranche-XVII tender. It includes a storage system to support grid stability and round-the-clock power supply. It is expected to be commissioned within 24 months from the date of the agreement.

Blupine Energy secured this capacity in December 2024 by quoting a tariff of Rs 3.52 per kWh. This was under SECI’s 2,000 MW solar tender that includes 4,000 MWh of energy storage.

SECI had invited bids for the tender in July 2024. It called for developers to set up 2,000 MW ISTS-connected solar projects with 1,000 MW/4,000 MWh of storage. Projects are to be developed on a build, own, and operate (BOO) basis, with a dedicated transmission line up to the delivery point.
