BluPine Energy signs PPAs to supply 21 MWp solar power in Rajasthan

BluPine Energy and Craftsman Automation representatives mark the signing of a long-term solar power PPA.

BluPine Energy has signed long-term Open Access Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Craftsman Automation and Sunbeam Lightweighting Solutions Pvt. Ltd for the supply of 21 MWp of solar power from its Rajasthan project.

The agreements will support the captive renewable energy requirements of Craftsman Automation and Sunbeam Lightweighting Solutions, supplying solar power to their manufacturing operations in accordance with the captive provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003.

C&I portfolio

The PPAs expand BluPine Energy’s Commercial & Industrial (C&I) portfolio in Rajasthan. According to the company, all of its currently contracted offtakers in the state are rated AA or above.

The latest agreements add manufacturing-sector consumers to BluPine Energy’s C&I portfolio as companies increasingly procure renewable electricity through captive and open access arrangements to meet their energy requirements and decarbonisation goals.

BluPine Energy said it remains focused on providing renewable power solutions to industrial consumers as India’s manufacturing sector increases its use of clean energy.
