Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has withdrawn its acceptance of the Letter of Intent (LOI) issued by MB Power (Madhya Pradesh) Limited for the supply of key power equipment for the 1×800 MW Anuppur Thermal Power Project.
The LOI, accepted on September 3, 2025, covered the supply of Boiler, Turbine, and Generator (BTG) equipment. BHEL stated in a regulatory filing that the LOI was conditional on the execution of a formal contract within a defined timeline. Despite multiple discussions and extensions, the contract could not be finalised within the stipulated terms, leading to the withdrawal of the LOI acceptance.
BHEL has also reported provisional and unaudited financial results for FY26, with a turnover of about Rs 32,350 crore, reflecting an 18% increase over the previous fiscal year. The company recorded order inflows of around Rs 75,000 crore during the year, taking its total outstanding order book to about Rs 2.4 lakh crore at the end of FY26. The power sector accounted for a significant share, contributing approximately Rs 59,000 crore in new orders. The industrial segment added around Rs 16,000 crore in fresh orders across transportation, transmission, defence, and process industries. On the execution side, BHEL reported commissioning or synchronisation of about 8.9 GW of power capacity during the year.
The company stated that it enters FY27 with a strong execution pipeline supported by revenue growth and order visibility.
