Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has reported an order inflow of nearly Rs. 9,500 crore in the first quarter of FY25 (April to June 2024), with a significant focus on power sector-related mandates.

In an investor presentation, BHEL detailed that it received orders worth Rs. 94.88 billion during Q1FY25. The domestic power sector accounted for Rs. 85 billion, or nearly 90% of the total orders. The remaining Rs 9.88 billion came from the industry sector (Rs 9.18 million) and exports (Rs 700 million).

As of June 30, 2024, BHEL’s outstanding order book stood at Rs 1,353.48 billion, with the power sector representing 75%, industry 22%, and exports 3%.
