ANDRITZ has secured an order from Rostock EnergyPort Cooperation GmbH (REPCO) to engineer a 100 MW green hydrogen plant in Rostock, Germany. REPCO is a joint venture of RWE Generation SE, EnBW Neue Energien GmbH, RheinEnergie AG, and Rostock Port GmbH.
Once the notice to proceed is received, ANDRITZ will deliver the project on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis. The scope includes the green hydrogen production facility, infrastructure, utilities, hydrogen purification and compression systems, storage units, and a hydrogen filling station. The plant is expected to be commissioned in 2027.
REPCO’s plant will be integrated with the Hydrogen Core Network, a pipeline system for hydrogen transport across Europe, which is set to begin operations in 2028. The facility will also supply hydrogen to local industries and the mobility sector.
Founded in 2022, REPCO focuses on expanding green hydrogen production and distribution infrastructure. This marks ANDRITZ’s second 100 MW green hydrogen project in Germany, following its earlier order from Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH.
