AMPIN Energy signs PPA with SECI for 199 MW FDRE project
AMPIN Energy Transition has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for its 199 MW / ~800 MWh Firm & Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project under Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) Tranche VII, marking the company’s entry into the emerging segment of storage-backed renewable power.
The project is AMPIN Energy Transition’s first FDRE asset and combines renewable energy generation with battery energy storage to provide firm and dispatchable electricity under a long-term contractual arrangement.
AMPIN’s 199 MW project will incorporate approximately 800 MWh of battery energy storage capacity to support scheduled power delivery and improve the reliability of renewable energy supply.
The execution of the PPA marks a key milestone for AMPIN Energy Transition as it expands its renewable energy portfolio into the FDRE segment and aligns with the broader industry shift towards integrating energy storage with renewable generation.
