Enefit Green has selected AFRY to provide front-end engineering design (FEED) services for the 1GW Liivi Bay offshore wind farm in the Gulf of Riga, Estonia. The project aligns with Estonia’s renewable energy strategy and aims to enhance energy independence.
The FEED phase, running until 2028, will include detailed site assessments, site layout optimization, foundation design, transport and installation planning, and electrical system design, including the offshore substation. AFRY will collaborate with Enersea, JBO, and INGEO2.
Enefit Green’s offshore wind head Johann-Gustav Lend highlighted the wind farm’s potential to meet half of Estonia’s electricity needs and boost regional economic growth. AFRY’s Jonathan Sistonen expressed pride in continuing the partnership with Enefit Green to advance Estonia’s renewable energy goals.
The FEED contract, awarded through a public tender, is valued at EKr38m ($3.42m).
