ADM Solar Power has secured an order to supply 24.5 MW of domestically manufactured solar modules for government backed solar programmes in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The order reflects continued demand for locally manufactured equipment under India’s renewable energy and self reliance policies.
The company will supply solar modules for projects implemented by the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) and the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Pump Yojana. Out of the total capacity, 3.2 MW has been allocated for installations under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) Component C in Madhya Pradesh.
All modules supplied under the order will meet Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) norms. The modules will use mono Passivated Emitter and Rear Contact (PERC) technology, with power ratings ranging from 500 watt peak to 525 watt peak, in line with central and state government procurement requirements.
The projects form part of broader efforts to promote decentralised solar generation, particularly in the agriculture sector. In Maharashtra, the installations are aimed at supporting solar powered irrigation and reducing the financial burden on the state’s distribution network. In Madhya Pradesh, the PM KUSUM scheme focuses on providing daytime solar power to farmers to lower dependence on diesel generators and grid subsidies.
The order adds to ADM Solar Power’s presence in the government and utility scale solar segment, as India continues to scale up domestic manufacturing capacity under its renewable energy targets and industrial policy initiatives.
Earlier this month, ADM Solar Power signed a 10 MW Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Avener Green Pvt. Ltd. under an Open Access Captive model. The agreement is for supplying renewable power to ADM’s solar module and cell manufacturing facility in Aligarh.
