Adani group entities raise stake in AESL via market purchases

Three entities of the Adani group have acquired equity shares in Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) through open market transactions, as per a disclosure to stock exchanges.
Adani Infra (India) Limited acquired 1.18 crore equity shares, representing 0.98% of AESL, on March 23, 2026. Separately, Gelt Bery Trade and Investment Ltd purchased 96.27 lakh shares (0.80%) between June 3 and June 9, 2025, while Emerging Market Investment DMCC acquired 1.33 crore shares (1.11%) between June 26, 2024, and June 13, 2025.
Promoter group holding increases
The acquisitions were carried out by promoter and promoter group entities. Following these transactions, the combined holding of the acquirers and persons acting in concert rose to 86.70 crore shares, equivalent to 72.17% of AESL’s total equity share capital.
AESL is a listed company engaged in power transmission and distribution infrastructure. The disclosure was made under Regulation 29(2) of the SEBI (Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeovers) Regulations, 2011.
