Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), has started commercial operations of a 50 MW solar power project on May 15, 2025. The project is part of the 30,000 MW Khavda Wind-Solar Hybrid Renewable Energy Power Park in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.
The Khavda park includes 26,000 MW of solar and 4,000 MW of wind capacity. It is being developed by AGEL, with Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) acting as the nodal agency.
The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), and the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) are responsible for developing transmission capacity for the park.
