Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has expanded its renewable energy portfolio with a major new capacity addition at Khavda in Gujarat, while also incorporating a new subsidiary to support future clean energy development. Both updates were disclosed through filings dated 31 December 2025 to stock exchanges.
In its filing, Adani Green Energy Limited stated that it has operationalised 307.4 MW of new power projects at the Khavda renewable energy cluster in Gujarat. The capacity addition, achieved through various step-down subsidiaries, includes solar, wind and hybrid projects. With this commissioning, the company’s total operational renewable energy generation capacity has increased to 17,237.2 MW. The company declared 31 December 2025 at 7:47 a.m. as the operationalisation time, with power generation beginning from 01 January 2026. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.
In a separate filing dated 31 December 2025, Adani Green Energy Limited announced the incorporation of a new wholly owned subsidiary named Adani Ecogen Four Limited (AE4L). The company was incorporated on 30 December 2025 by Adani Renewable Energy Holding Eleven Limited (AREH11L), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of AGEL. AE4L has been established to generate and develop power through wind, solar and other renewable sources and is yet to commence business operations.
