The project relates to the Transmission Scheme for the Establishment of 400/220 kV AIS Wagdari in Solapur district. PFC Consulting issued the Request for Proposal (RFP) documents on 06 August 2025 to select a Transmission Service Provider (TSP) for developing the transmission assets.

The project involves setting up a 400/220 kV Air Insulated Substation (AIS) at Wagdari with three 500 MVA transformers, along with bus reactors, line bays and provision for an additional transformer in the future.

It also includes multiple double circuit lines, including a 400 kV line from Wagdari to the proposed 765 kV Pune East substation, a 400 kV line to the 400 kV Solapur Pooling Station, and a 220 kV line connecting the new and proposed Wagdari substations. The scheme provides 400 kV and 220 kV line bays for solar generators at Wagdari, as well as a 220 kV line to the existing 220 kV Narangwadi substation.
