Adani Energy Solutions wins Rs 250 billion power transmission bid in Rajasthan

Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) has been named the preferred bidder for a transmission project under the special purpose vehicle (SPV) “Rajasthan Part-I Power Transmission.”
The project, valued at approximately Rs 250 billion, will be AESL’s largest order once officially awarded.
The project, tendered through a re-bid process under tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB), is part of the interstate transmission system (ISTS) named “Transmission system for evacuation of power from REZ in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase-III Part-I.”
Competing bidders included Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL), Sterlite Power, and Indigrid.
The scope includes establishing six GW high-voltage direct current (HVDC) terminal stations at Bhadla in Rajasthan and Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh, along with a transmission line and associated AC network.
AESL has also signed a share purchase agreement (SPA) with PFC Consulting to acquire Pune-III Transmission (PTL) to implement the evacuation of seven GW of renewable energy from Khavda RE Park under Phase-IV Part-D.
