ACME Solar Holdings Limited (ASHL) has commissioned the first phase of its large scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Rajasthan. The initial phase of 19 MW/38 MWh was activated on February 25, 2026, through its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Suryodaya Private Limited.

The project is located in the villages of Sanwara and Mehar Nagar in Pokhran Tehsil, Jaisalmer district. It is part of a larger development with a planned total capacity of 285 MW/600 MWh.

According to a regulatory filing, ASHL plans to operate the initial capacity as a merchant asset, allowing flexibility to enter into a long term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) at a later stage. The commercial operation date (COD) for the first phase is scheduled for February 27, 2026.
