ACME Pokhran Solar Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ACME Solar Holdings Limited, commissioned 19.8 MW wind power capacity in Shapar, Gujarat, on June 13, 2025. This forms part of its 50 MW grid-connected wind power project under Phase II of the Gujarat Phase III tender.
The project is located in a high wind resource zone and is being developed by ACME Pokhran, a special purpose vehicle. It is financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC). Power from the project will be supplied to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
The project is being built through ACME Solar’s in-house engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) team. It uses a dedicated single circuit 220 kV transmission line to evacuate power to the Shapar sub-station via a 33/220 kV pooling station. The infrastructure will also be shared with ACME’s second wind project in the region, which is in advanced stages of construction.
Following this commissioning, ACME Solar’s operational capacity now stands at 2,826.2 MW.
