Adani Power Limited (APL) completed the acquisition of Lanco Amarkantak Power Limited (LAPL) for the Pathadi Thermal Power Project (TPP) phase II. The acquisition includes LAPL’s existing 2×300 MW (600 MW) operational TPP in Korba district, Chhattisgarh, and the development of an additional 2×660 MW (1,320 MW) TPP capacity under phase II expansion.
Vena Energy and Shell Eastern Trading have received conditional approval from Singapore’s Energy Market Authority to export 400 MW of solar power from the Riau Islands, Indonesia, to Singapore. EDF Renewables has secured a 20-year Energy Storage Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Arizona Public Service (APS) for the Beehive Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Peoria, Arizona. This 250 MW, four-hour duration stand-alone battery system, totalling 1,000 MWh, will start construction in 2025 and is set for commercial operation by 2026.
