SWELECT Energy commissions 10 MW solar plant in Tamil Nadu
ESG Green Energy Private Limited, a subsidiary of SWELECT Energy Systems Limited, has commissioned a 10 MW solar power plant in Tiruvannamalai district, Tamil Nadu. The project, located at Nedumpirai Village in Cheyyar Taluk, was formally commissioned on August 24, 2026.
The plant is interfaced at the 33 kV level with a 110/33 kV pooling substation previously developed by SWELECT Energy Systems under Section 10(1) of the Electricity Act, 2003. The pooling substation is connected to the 110/33-11 kV Sirungattur TANTRANSCOS substation at the 110 kV level.
Power generated by the plant will be supplied to a group of consumers under a Group Captive Power Sale model, using Intra-State Open Access provisions within Tamil Nadu.
Financial performance
SWELECT Energy Systems’ standalone PAT increased 362.5% year-on-year to Rs 1,867.81 lakh in the quarter ended June 30, 2026, while standalone revenue from operations rose 82% to Rs 11,948.55 lakh and EBITDA increased 120% to Rs 3,667.45 lakh. Consolidated revenue declined 26.2% to Rs 13,077.21 lakh and consolidated PAT fell 63.8% to Rs 765.33 lakh, affected by policy uncertainty over the implementation of ALMM 2 between May and July 2026, which led customers to defer orders.
