IREDA appoints Bijay Kumar Mohanty as interim CMD

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has entrusted Dr Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Director (Finance) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), effective July 1, 2026. The appointment follows the superannuation of Shri Pradip Kumar Das, who ceased to serve as CMD on the same date after attaining the age of superannuation on June 30, 2026.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, through its order dated June 30, 2026, assigned Dr Mohanty the additional charge of CMD for a period of three months from the date of assumption, or until the appointment of a regular incumbent, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Dr Mohanty assumed the additional charge on July 1, 2026.

Shri Pradip Kumar Das ceased to hold the office of Chairman and Managing Director of IREDA with effect from July 1, 2026, upon attaining the age of superannuation on June 30, 2026.
