Sunsol Cleantech targets 2 GW of solar deployment by 2030
Sunsol Cleantech, the distributed energy platform of Sunkonnect, has announced plans to support the deployment of more than 2 GW of solar capacity across India by 2030. The company said the initiative will involve the execution of 5,000 projects covering rooftop, captive, open-access and utility-scale solar installations across urban and rural markets.
According to the company, the platform will offer distributed solar solutions for corporate customers, independent power producers (IPPs), renewable energy developers and investors. It will combine engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services with digital analytics and operational capabilities to help consumers reduce energy costs, lower carbon emissions and improve grid resilience.
Sunsol said its deployment strategy is intended to support India’s solar capacity expansion by 2030. The company noted that India’s installed solar capacity has increased from 2.8 GW in 2014 to around 150 GW at present.
Sunsol Cleantech is the project delivery and solutions arm of the Sunkonnect Group. The company provides services across solar, waste-to-energy, battery energy storage, microgrids and AI-based energy management solutions.
Sunkonnect, headquartered in Singapore, said it has delivered more than 5 GW of renewable energy projects since 2019 across solar, green hydrogen, waste-to-energy, energy storage and electric mobility in India, China, Vietnam and Malaysia.
