Powerica incorporates renewable energy subsidiary Whisperwind Renewable
Powerica Limited has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, Whisperwind Renewable Private Limited (WRPL), to develop renewable energy projects across wind, solar and hybrid segments. The incorporation became effective on June 27, 2026, following approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on the same date.
Business activities
According to the company, WRPL has been incorporated to set up, develop and construct renewable power projects, including wind power projects, wind parks, solar power projects, Wind-Solar Hybrid Projects and other renewable energy initiatives.
The subsidiary will also undertake power generation from wind, solar, hybrid and other renewable energy sources, along with allied activities related to wind parks and wind power projects.
Shareholding
Powerica Limited holds 100% of the paid-up share capital of WRPL, comprising 2,50,000 equity shares with a face value of Rs 10 each, aggregating to Rs 25,00,000. The subscription has been made in cash.
As the holding company, Powerica has a related-party relationship with the newly incorporated subsidiary.
The incorporation follows a similar announcement made a day earlier. On June 26, 2026, Powerica incorporated another wholly owned subsidiary, Windfusion Renewable Private Limited, after receiving approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The company said Windfusion Renewable Private Limited was established to develop renewable energy projects across the wind, solar and hybrid segments.
