NTPC incorporates Mauritius subsidiary for floating solar, BESS projects
NTPC Limited has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, NTPC (Mauritius) Energy Limited, in Mauritius to develop power projects, including Floating Solar Photovoltaic (FSPV) projects with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), in the country.
The subsidiary was incorporated on June 26, 2026, in continuation of the company’s disclosure dated December 23, 2025.
Business objectives
According to NTPC, the subsidiary has been established to undertake the development of the proposed FSPV project with BESS and pursue other power sector opportunities in Mauritius.
The company said the overseas entity will also undertake other businesses related to the power sector in the country.
Capital structure
NTPC (Mauritius) Energy Limited has an authorised capital of 1,000,000 Mauritius Rupee (MUR), equivalent to approximately Rs 19.8 lakh based on an exchange rate of 1.98 MUR to one Indian Rupee.
NTPC will hold 100% of the share capital of the subsidiary, which will be subscribed in cash.
As the entity has been newly incorporated, it has not commenced operations and has no turnover.
