Pace Digitek wins Rs 7,099 million BESS contract from NLC India

Pace Digitek Limited has secured a contract worth Rs 7,099.19 million (including GST) from NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL) for a 250 MW / 500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Tamil Nadu.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply excluding power transformers, manufacturing, erection, testing, and commissioning of the BESS project on a turnkey basis. The project will be developed across three substations located at Ottapidaram, Annupankulam, and Kayathar in Tamil Nadu.

The contract also includes comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services for 12 years after the commercial operation declaration (COD). According to the company’s exchange filing, the entire 250 MW / 500 MWh capacity is scheduled to be commissioned within 12 months from the date of the letter of award. The O&M period will cover the full 12-year service life of the BESS from COD.

Pace Digitek stated that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and clarified that no promoter, promoter group, or group company has any interest in NIRL. The company also confirmed that the contract does not qualify as a related party transaction.

Earlier this month, Pace Digitek received a Letter of Award from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) for another 250 MW / 500 MWh BESS project at Maithon in Jharkhand. The contract value for that project stood at Rs 7,019.54 million, including GST.
