SECI awards 5.67 MW rooftop solar under Tranche VIII

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has announced results for its January 2026 tender covering 5,665 kW of rooftop solar capacity across 14 government buildings. The projects are being developed under the RESCO (Renewable Energy Service Company) model as part of Tranche-VIII.
GH2 Solar secured the largest share, winning 1,200 kW at Rs 3.00 per kWh, 1,000 kW at Rs 3.04 per kWh, and 300 kW at Rs 3.13 per kWh. Mateshwari Bus Operations was awarded 280 kW at Rs 2.97 per kWh, 750 kW at Rs 3.06 per kWh, and 85 kW at Rs 3.15 per kWh. Solaris Electrical Services won 450 kW at Rs 3.65 per kWh and 205 kW at Rs 3.80 per kWh.
Other allocations included GP Eco Solutions India with 255 kW at Rs 3.48 per kWh and 115 kW at Rs 3.65 per kWh. Kaho Solar secured 415 kW at Rs 3.79 per kWh across two sites, while Stockwell Solar Services won 160 kW at Rs 3.97 per kWh.
The installations will be spread across Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh. Developers will handle design, engineering, supply, storage, civil works, erection, testing, and commissioning, along with operations and maintenance for the full power purchase agreement (PPA) period.
Projects are to be commissioned within seven months from the effective date of the PPA, with a possible extension of up to six months subject to penalties. Developers are required to use modules and cells listed under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). Performance guarantees include a minimum of 90% output after 10 years and at least 80% after 25 years, along with a 10-year warranty covering materials and workmanship.
