SAEL Industries has commissioned its 600 MW solar development in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The capacity is split into two 300 MW segments operated through wholly owned subsidiaries, with power supplied to the central grid.
The project spans more than 2,400 acres and operates under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The arrangement provides long-term revenue visibility. The installation uses over 1.2 million bifacial tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) panels manufactured at SAEL’s facilities in Punjab and Rajasthan.
Executive Director Laxit Awla said the Kurnool terrain posed execution challenges and noted that completion of the twin 300 MW blocks reflects the execution approach and field efforts of the teams.
The project is expected to offset around 1.1 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. It follows the commissioning of the 1 GWp Khavda project in Gujarat in January 2026, taking the company’s total operational solar capacity beyond 2.5 GWp.
