NTPC Green commissions 180 MW solar capacity at Bhadla, Khavda

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has declared commercial operation for 180 MW of solar capacity across two projects. The additions come from staged commissioning at its Bhadla and Khavda solar parks. 

NGEL commissioned the third and final part capacity of 75 MW from its 500 MW Bhadla Solar PV Project in Phalodi, Rajasthan, with effect from March 25, 2026. The declaration follows receipt of a certificate from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RREC) on March 28, 2026.

Separately, the company commissioned the fifth part capacity of 105 MW from its 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat, with effect from 00:00 hours on March 29, 2026.

Both projects are being implemented by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NREL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL. 

Following these additions, the total installed capacity of the NGEL Group has increased to 9,907.68 MW, up from 9,727.68 MW earlier.

At the NTPC Group level, total installed capacity now stands at 88,889 MW, with commercial capacity at 87,809 MW.
