Ceigall India signs PPAs for 337 MW solar projects in Maharashtra

Ceigall India Limited has executed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for a total solar capacity of 337 MW under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0.

The agreements were signed on March 24, 2026. Its wholly owned subsidiaries, Ceigall Green Energy MH1 Limited and Ceigall Green Energy MH2 Limited, will develop 190 MW and 147 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity, respectively. The MH1 project spans four districts in Maharashtra, while the MH2 project covers two districts. The combined engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) cost is about Rs 1,369 crore, inclusive of goods and services tax.

Execution timeline and tariff structure

The projects are scheduled for completion within 18 months. Under the long-term PPAs, the subsidiaries will operate and maintain the plants and supply power for 25 years at tariffs ranging from Rs 2.72 to Rs 2.86 per unit.

The Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana is a state initiative aimed at supplying daytime solar power to agricultural feeders. Ceigall India, primarily engaged in highways and bridge EPC, has been expanding into renewable energy development. The company had earlier disclosed receipt of letters of award for these projects on October 29, 2025.
