Sakhigopal Integrated Power Company Limited (SIPCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC), has been struck off by the Registrar of Companies with effect from March 9, 2026, under Section 248 of the Companies Act, 2013.

SIPCL was incorporated in May 2008 as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to develop a 4,000 MW Ultra Mega Power Project in Odisha. The project was later shelved and the company remained inactive.

The Ministry of Power approved the closure of the entity on November 27, 2025. Following this approval, the required filings were submitted to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), which subsequently authorised the strike-off.

PFC stated that SIPCL was not a material subsidiary and its dissolution does not have any financial impact on the company.
