NTPC Green commissions 270 MW at Khavda-II solar project

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has declared commercial operation of 270 MW capacity at the 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat, effective March 11, 2026.
The commissioned capacity represents the third part of the project being developed by NREL, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NGEL and a step-down subsidiary of NTPC Limited.
Following this addition, the total commercial capacity of the NGEL Group has reached 9,292.68 MW. The overall installed capacity of the NTPC Group, including all subsidiaries, now stands at 88,544 MW, while commercial capacity is reported at 87,464 MW.
The Khavda-II Solar PV Project is located in Gujarat and forms part of NTPC’s strategy to expand its renewable energy portfolio.
