Vikram Solar Limited has signed a domestic solar cell procurement agreement with Jupiter International Limited to source 2 GW of crystalline solar cells valued at about Rs 2,000 crore. The agreement was executed on February 20, 2026.
The contract covers the supply of high-efficiency Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TopCon) Solar Cells and high-efficiency mono Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell (PERC) Solar Cells. The solar cells are compliant with the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) requirements for domestic projects.
The agreement involves the procurement of 2 GW of ALMM-compliant solar cells with an estimated transaction value of around Rs 2,000 crore. Compliance with ALMM ensures the products meet government-specified quality and performance standards for domestic solar installations.
The arrangement is aimed at securing domestic supply of high-efficiency solar cell technologies, including TopCon and mono PERC, which are widely used in solar power projects. The partnership supports collaboration within the domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem.
