NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced the commissioning of an additional 14.43 MW segment from its large-scale solar project in Gujarat, further expanding its operational renewable energy portfolio.
The company declared the eleventh segment of its 1,255 MW Khawda-I Solar PV Project commercially operational, effective from the start of February 10, 2026. This portion is part of the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) scheme Phase-II Tranche-III and is being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary.
With this latest addition, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group rises to 8,827.68 MW, up from 8,813.25 MW. This follows a previous declaration in January 2026, when a 130.47 MW segment from the same project was commissioned, bringing the group’s capacity to 8,478.25 MW at that time.
