Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Company Limited (Tata Power), has commissioned 10 GW of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects to date. The company reported strong growth in renewable energy installations during FY26, including its highest-ever quarterly commissioning.

According to the company, the cumulative 10 GW of commissioned EPC capacity includes 9.7 GW of solar projects and 290 MW of wind projects. Of this total, 4.2 GW relates to in-house projects, while 5.8 GW has been executed for third-party clients.

During the first nine months of FY26, covering April to December 2025, TPREL commissioned 1.88 GW of renewable energy EPC capacity. This represents a 33% increase compared to 1.4 GW commissioned during the same period in FY25. Of the FY26 additions, 1,329 MW comprised solar projects for third-party clients, while 546 MW related to in-house renewable energy projects, including 187 MW of wind and 359 MW of solar capacity.

The third quarter of FY26 marked a record performance, with 941 MW of renewable energy projects commissioned. This was a 139% increase over the 393 MW completed in Q3 FY25. Key projects commissioned during the quarter included solar projects for NHPC Limited, NLC India Limited, and SJVNL Limited, comprising domestic content requirement-compliant projects in Bikaner, Rajasthan, and a 187 MW wind project in Karur, Tamil Nadu.

TPREL attributed the commissioning performance to its engineering capabilities, supply chain strength, execution model, and vendor partnerships, which supported timely project delivery across locations.

The company’s total utility-scale operational generation capacity has reached 6.0 GW, comprising 4.8 GW of solar and 1.2 GW of wind capacity. TPREL plans to commission an additional 0.75 GW of utility-owned capacity during the remaining period of FY26.
