Kosol Energie Pvt Ltd has committed to invest around Rs 90,000 crore, equivalent to $10.8 billion, in renewable energy projects in Gujarat. The commitment was formalised through a memorandum of understanding during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2026, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
The proposed investment covers the development of solar manufacturing facilities, research and development centres, large scale renewable energy parks, and integrated ecosystems for green hydrogen and green ammonia production. The company said the projects align with national clean energy targets and programmes aimed at strengthening domestic manufacturing.
Kalpesh Kalthia, Chairman and Managing Director of Kosol Energie Pvt Ltd, said scaling up manufacturing capacity and project execution is critical to supporting India’s energy transition. The company estimates that the planned projects will generate more than 100,000 direct and indirect jobs, strengthening Gujarat’s position as a renewable energy manufacturing hub.
Kosol Energie also said it is evaluating additional investment opportunities in other states, citing rising demand for solar power, energy storage, and green fuels.
The MoU is part of investment commitments made during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference held in Rajkot.
