Shakti Pumps enters Karnataka with Rs 654 crore solar pump order

Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has received its first major order from Karnataka, strengthening its presence in the solar pumping segment and expanding its geographic footprint.
The company has been awarded a contract by Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) for the installation of 16,780 standalone off-grid direct current solar photovoltaic water pumping systems. The total order value stands at Rs 654.03 crore, inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST).
The scope of work includes the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of the systems. The project is scheduled for completion on or before 31 March 2026 and will be implemented under Component B of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme.
The order marks Shakti Pumps’ entry into the southern Indian market. The company stated that this contract adds to recent order wins across Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Haryana, and Maharashtra, with cumulative orders over the past month amounting to around Rs 1,900 crore.
In a statement, Mr. Dinesh Patidar, Chairman of Shakti Pumps, said, “The order from KREDL marks another important milestone and reflects the continued trust placed in our capabilities. The cumulative orders reaffirm the growing adoption of solar pumping solutions across the country, as well as our ability to effectively address this demand.”
