GREW Solar wins NTPC REL order to supply 1,464.5 MW solar modules

GREW Solar has received a contract worth over Rs 2,000 crore from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited to supply 1,464.5 MW of high-efficiency solar PV modules for multiple projects in Uttar Pradesh. The company said the order reflects confidence in its manufacturing capability and quality systems. GREW Solar is expanding its Dudu facility to reach 11 GW of total capacity. The company has also appointed Divyanshu Parnami as National Sales Head for the Mid-Market and Distribution Business to strengthen operations and distribution.

Waaree RTL reports EPC expansion, new order and 1,500 MW module deal

Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited reported an enhancement of an EPC project from 30 MWp to 35 MWp, increasing the contract value from Rs 90.29 crore to Rs 102.93 crore, excluding taxes, with completion planned in FY 2026-27. The company also received a new LOA for a 28.60 MWac or 39.80 MWp ground-mounted solar project valued at about Rs 96.51 crore. Waaree Energies Limited separately announced a 1,500 MW domestic module supply order, including 1,000 MW DCR and 500 MW non-DCR capacity for FY 2026-27. The companies confirmed the filings under SEBI LODR and stated these are not related party transactions.

Olectra starts commercial operations of EV manufacturing plant in Hyderabad

Olectra Greentech Limited has started commercial operations at the first phase of its new electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. The company declared 31 December 2025 as the Commercial Operation Date for the greenfield plant at Seetharampur. Phase I provides an annual per-shift manufacturing capacity of 2,500 electric buses, representing half of the planned 5,000 buses capacity when fully developed. The disclosure has been made under SEBI LODR Regulation 30.

NLC India transfers renewable assets to new subsidiary NIRL

NLC India Limited has transferred seven renewable energy assets to NLC India Renewables Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary. The transfer took effect from 01 January 2026 under a Business Transfer Agreement executed on 31 October 2025. The company said the move consolidates its renewable portfolio under a single entity. NLC India currently has around 1,598.89 MW of renewable capacity across Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Andaman Islands and Neyveli.

POWERGRID meets 50% renewable energy usage milestone

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited announced that 50 per cent of its operational energy requirement is now met through renewable sources. The company said this aligns with its ESG objectives and reflects efforts to integrate clean energy into operations. POWERGRID attributed the achievement to rooftop solar and its Nagda solar PV plant. The disclosure was made under SEBI LODR norms, and the company was recently awarded a 150 MW or 300 MWh BESS project in Andhra Pradesh.

ACME Solar forms two new subsidiaries for renewable energy business

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has formed two wholly owned subsidiaries named ACME Greentech Fifteen Private Limited and ACME Greentech Eighteen Private Limited. Both entities are registered in Gurugram and will undertake renewable power development and operations. ACME Solar subscribed to 100 per cent of their initial paid-up capital, with each having Rs 1,00,000 issued capital. The company confirmed that no regulatory approvals were required and filings were made under SEBI LODR.

KEC International enters wind segment with a new order

KEC International Limited announced orders worth Rs 1,050 crore across businesses, including its first wind project order exceeding 100 MW in Southern India. The company said this marks its entry into the wind energy market. SAE Towers secured supply orders in the Americas, while the Civil division received a buildings order from a steel company in Western India. With these contracts, the company’s year-to-date order intake has reached about Rs 19,300 crore.

Shakti Pumps secures Rs 259 crore solar water pumping orders

Shakti Pumps announced new orders worth Rs 258.57 crore for solar photovoltaic water pumping systems. This includes 1,000 off-grid pumps in Jharkhand worth Rs 21 crore under PM-KUSUM and two Madhya Pradesh orders for 4,840 and 1,952 units valued at Rs 170.25 crore and Rs 67.32 crore. All projects carry a 120-day execution period. The company said these are not related party transactions and disclosures were filed under SEBI LODR.

Adani Green commissions 307.4 MW at Khavda, forms new subsidiary

Adani Green Energy Limited has operationalised 307.4 MW of renewable capacity at the Khavda cluster in Gujarat. The commissioning took place through multiple step-down subsidiaries and includes solar, wind and hybrid projects. This increases the company’s operational renewable capacity to 17,237.2 MW, with generation beginning from 01 January 2026. The company has also incorporated Adani Ecogen Four Limited as a new wholly owned subsidiary for future renewable development.

Haryana clears Rs 40 billion tenders for power and urban infrastructure

The Haryana government has approved Rs 40.16 billion worth of tenders to upgrade distribution infrastructure and reduce losses. The plan includes new 33 kV substations and strengthening of existing DHBVN and UHBVN assets. Gurugram will receive SCADA, DMS and OMS systems for better grid management. The approvals follow recent distribution upgrades inaugurated in Ambala Cantonment under RDSS.
