NTPC commissions over 359 MW solar capacity in Rajasthan and Gujarat

NTPC Group announced the commercial commissioning of more than 359 MW of new solar power capacity across projects in Rajasthan and Gujarat on 17 December 2025 and 18 December 2025. Following these additions, the group’s total installed and commercial capacity has increased to 85,541 MW.
On 17 December 2025, NTPC Limited stated that the second and final part capacity of 78 MW at Plot 1 of its 245 MW Nokh Solar Photovoltaic Project in Rajasthan commenced commercial operations from 00:00 hours on 18 December 2025. With this commissioning, NTPC Limited’s standalone installed and commercial capacity reached 60,783 MW, while the overall NTPC Group capacity rose to 85,259 MW.
In a separate disclosure, NTPC Group, through its subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), announced the commissioning of additional solar capacities in Gujarat. The seventh part capacity of 243.66 MW from the 1,255 MW Khavda I Solar Photovoltaic Project achieved commercial operation from 00:00 hours on 17 December 2025.
This was followed by the commissioning of the fifth part capacity of 37.925 MW from the 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project, which began commercial operations from 00:00 hours on 18 December 2025.
After these additions, the total installed capacity of the NGEL Group increased to 7,927.26 MW. The combined impact of all the commissioned capacities has taken the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC Group to 85,541 MW.
