Saft wins 356 MWh BESS contract with Foxwell Power in Taiwan

Saft, a subsidiary of TotalEnergies, has secured a major contract with Foxwell Power Company in Taichung, Taiwan, to deliver a 356 MWh lithium-ion battery energy storage system. The project, Saft’s eleventh in Taiwan, will expand the company’s installed base in the country to 630 MWh.
The Taichung project, developed by Foxwell Power, a subsidiary of Shinfox Energy, will begin at the end of 2025 and continue through 2026. It will include 108 I-Shift lithium-ion battery containers designed for a compact installation footprint.
The system will support Taiwan’s 2050 net-zero target by addressing grid instability, congestion, and renewable intermittency. It will provide frequency regulation and peak-shifting services to enhance grid reliability as renewable capacity increases.
