Vedanta’s Talwandi Sabo Power settles EPC disputes with SEPCO

Vedanta Limited has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), has resolved long-standing disputes with SEPCO Electric Power Construction Corporation through a settlement agreement.
The agreement was signed on 11 September 2025 and provides for full and final closure of all claims and counterclaims between the two parties. It also covers the withdrawal of ongoing arbitration proceedings related to engineering, procurement, and construction contracts for the 3×660 MW thermal power project.
TSPL operates a 1,980 MW supercritical coal-based thermal power plant in Banawala village, Mansa district, Punjab. The plant, incorporated as a Special Purpose Vehicle by the Punjab State Electricity Board, has been supplying power under a long-term agreement with Punjab State Power Corporation Limited since 2014. TSPL contributes around 30 per cent of Punjab’s power requirement.
