CRI Solar, a unit of CRI Pumps, has been empanelled by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to implement 10,714 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems (SPWPS). The project, under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana, is valued at Rs 3.2 billion.

The systems will be installed with capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP. Each unit will include an IoT-enabled remote monitoring feature and a five-year warranty covering both repairs and maintenance. The project aims to enhance water access in rural and off-grid areas, with execution planned as per MSEDCL’s schedule.

Earlier in June 2025, CRI Solar received a Rs 2.10 billion contract to supply, install, and commission 6,894 solar pumping systems from Maharashtra Energy Development Agency, Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency, and Punjab Energy Development Agency. In January 2025, CRI Pumps was empanelled by MSEDCL to provide 25,000 solar pumping systems valued at Rs 7.54 billion under the same MTSKP scheme.

The latest empanelment positions CRI Pumps to expand the deployment of renewable energy solutions in Maharashtra’s agriculture sector.
