Odisha’s single window committee has approved fresh renewable energy proposals totalling 178 MW, with investments estimated at Rs 870 crore.
In its twelfth meeting, the committee cleared multiple solar and wind projects submitted by the state’s renewable energy nodal agency. Prozeal Green Energy’s 69.5 MW solar facility in Subarnapur district and a 49.5 MW project by INOX Solar in Keonjhar were among the key approvals. Mahanadi Coalfields Limited received the go-ahead for a 10 MW solar plant in Jharsuguda. NLC India Renewables Limited was granted permission to develop a wind energy project in Nabarangpur district.
These approvals bring the committee’s cumulative sanctioned renewable capacity to 1,844.86 MW. Total investment commitments from all cleared projects now stand at Rs 12,599.79 crore.
