Juniper Green completes solar portion of Maharashtra hybrid project

Juniper Green Energy Limited has commissioned the remaining 43 megawatt peak (MWp) of solar capacity at its hybrid project site in Karanja, Maharashtra. With this, the company has completed the 103 MWp solar component of its 129 MWp hybrid power project.

The solar capacity was commissioned in two phases: 59.55 MWp in June 2025 and 43 MWp in July 2025. The entire solar component was completed nearly 16 months ahead of its scheduled commercial operation date of November 2026.

The power is being supplied to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) through Juniper’s subsidiary, Juniper Green Power Five Private Limited.

The project reached full solar capacity within eight months of the power purchase agreement (PPA) being signed.
