JSW signs wind PPA with Adani, commissions 281 MW hybrid project
JSW Renew Energy Three Limited, a step-down subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited (JSWEL), signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) on June 5, 2025. The agreement covers a 250 MW State Transmission Utility (STU)-connected wind power project to be developed in Barshi, Maharashtra.
The PPA stems from a bidding process held in March 2024. At the time, bids were invited for 650 MW of wind capacity for AEML’s distribution business (AEML-D) and an additional 50 MW for its subsidiary AEML SEEPZ Limited (ASL). Â
On the same day, June 5, 2025, JSWEL also announced the commissioning of a 281 MW wind-solar hybrid project. This includes 215 MW of solar and 66 MW of wind capacity set up across India.
