Senvion India has announced that its 3.1M130 wind turbine is now included in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM), issued in April 2025. Commercial grid-connected installations are set to begin across India.
The 3.1M130 turbine features a 130-metre rotor, based on the 2XM platform, and is designed for pad constraint sites where capacity is limited by location. It is fully designed, prototype-tested, and certified in India. Over 80 per cent of the components are manufactured domestically.
While based on Senvion’s earlier 2XM platform, the 3.1M130 underwent a complete design overhaul and new testing processes to ensure power output and annual energy production (AEP) targets are met. The company confirmed it is tailored for Indian site conditions and evolving project needs.
