Orlen Wind 3, a subsidiary of the Orlen Group, has signed a preliminary agreement with EDP Renewables Polska to acquire wind and solar facilities in Poland. The deal, valued at 1.15 billion zlotys ($292 million), includes photovoltaic (PV) projects with a combined capacity of 280 MWp and a 26 MW wind farm.
The acquisition will increase Orlen’s renewable generation capacity by 30%. Among the assets are two solar PV farms, including a 45-hectare site in Chotków equipped with 61,000 solar panels, providing a total capacity of 40 MWp.
